Well, I'm thrilled to report that this week is certainly turning out better than last week.
Monday was just a nice day. PM and I did four nice walks around the neighborhood. There are some very nice folks in the neighbor and several fun dogs for me to play around with. One of the dogs I don't see very often is Jedi, a PomSky.
I might have already posted a photo of him but he's cute enough to post it again!
On Tuesday, I got to go for a ride in my new car seat without having to see the vet or groomer - that was SOO fun! PM had to go to Front Porch Pantry to pick up a few ready made meals for her to have on hand when she doesn't feel like cooking - or she doesn't feel like trying to think of something to cook. She was able to watch me while I was in my seat because she pulled up right in front of the door and I didn't bark or cry one time. And since she'd ordered in advance, she didn't have to go into the store. She hasn't shared any tastes of her meals with me because she says they're just for People. Maybe she'll be generous some day.
On Wednesday, PM put me in my kennel and gave me a bacon, egg and cheese doggie treat. I knew she'd be gone for a while and tried to get away from her, but she's pretty fast for an old lady. She went to get her hair cut and came back with good news. Her stylist, Katie, has a dog, Woodrow, who is a weiner dog. Katie also walks dogs and lets them come and stay with Woodrow while the Peoples are out of town. So PM is going to let me meet Woodrow and if we get along, I'll stay with them while she visits New Jersey, etc. in the Autumn. She'll have a vacation and I'll have a playmate all day long.
Also, I found a new place to hide when PM wants me for something. It's under her love seat near her desk. There's just four inches for me to wiggle under it, but I'm young and very bendy. The first time I hid there, it took her quite a few minutes for her to find me. Unfortunately, she's ON to me.
On Thursday, Josefina came to help PM clean the house. I like it when she's here because she talks to me a lot and sometimes in another language! To keep me away from her while she works, PM gave me some blueberries which I really love, so that was fun. Then, John came to replace some outside lighting. He liked me a lot, of course, but stayed for a long time and my dinner was late. While we were outside saying goodbye to him, the house across the street was being shown [it's for sale] and the potential new owner, Dr. Chris and his PT wife, Romena, came to talk to PM about the neighborhood. I don't know if they have any dogs but they have a teenager but I've never seen one of those. I'll find out what a teenager is if they buy the house.
On Friday, PM moved small pieces of furniture into other rooms and closets. She had the carpets cleaned in the living room and her master bedroom. It wasn't because of my accidents, PM told me, but because it was time to do that. The two guys that were here liked me a lot also.
On Sunday, PM's son, Steve, came to go to dinner with PM to celebrate their February birthdays - delayed because of the snow. Zoe didn't come with Steve as she's much more mature than I am and can't really be bothered with young pups - or other dogs, for that matter. When they got back from Knife, they took be for a walk but Steve held the leash because he said my PM doesn't do it correctly. He said I did a good job walking the new way, but he didn't give me a treat like PM does when she calls me a good girl. Now, PM is walking me like he showed her and I don't get to wander all over the street. She tells me I'm doing a good job but at least she gives me a treat when we get home.
Last evening when PM took me out to do "business" Mattie and her PD were walking by so Mattie and I played. She's the most fun and even though she's two years older than I am, she's very playful. One day when the weather is warmer, we're going to have a play date in her backyard which is on the golf course and we'll get to see people playing golf. Mattie said some of the golfers bring her treats so she doesn't bark at them and they think she's beautiful. She's a wire haired terrier and she IS beautiful.
This morning, while PM was putting my breakfast together, I spied Guthrie and his PD walking by so I ranted and raved until PM took me outside. Guthrie and I played - he's fun, too. Then Max and his PD came by but Max doesn't like me. His PD said Max feels threatened by me. I am Woman, hear me roar!
It's Tuesday so we're going for a ride to Front Porch Pantry for PM's meals. She still hasn't shared any with me.
It's a little gloomy today, and I've already taken two long naps but after we get back from Front Porch Pantry, I think I'll take another nap until it's time for my pre-dinner walk.

I see you found a new place to hide. You must like dark places, because it must be very dark under PM's loveseat. Be careful that you don't get stuck in there. I guess if you did, you could just bark and PM could lift the loveseat up a little in the front to let you out.
ReplyDeleteToo bad it's gloomy today in your part of the United States. Here is New Jersey it was in the 60s. I didn't even wear a jacket when I went to the chiropractor. And, I really didn't have any pain at all in my back so I think I could have taken a walk when I got home. But, I had planned to attend a zoom meeting that started at 3:00. I did get on to the meeting, but it was hosted from the UK, so almost all of the attendees spoke with a British, Scottish, or Irish accent. I couldn't easily understand them, so I ended getting out of the meeting.
It sure sounds like you'll have fun playing with Mattie in her backyard, especially if the golfers give you and Mattie treats.
I'm glad PM's son showed her how to walk you correctly, because I worry about her tripping over the leash and falling like she did the day the 2 dogs came and jumped on you.
Well, I'm not surprised all the visitors at your house this week liked you. How could they not. You are so cute and loveable. Just try to not bite too much by the time I get to visit you in April. Bye for now. Sweet dreams tonight.
